Faithfully reproduced from an original garment preserved in the BIG YANK archives, the 1919 PULLOVER captures the authentic character of early twentieth-century work shirts. Reflecting a time before mass production became standard, it preserves the simplicity, functionality, and craftsmanship that defined workwear of the era.
The shirt features a classic pullover construction with a generously proportioned body. Designed to be worn over the head, its relaxed silhouette reflects the practical needs of workers in the early 1900s, offering comfort and ease of movement throughout the day.
A distinctive chin strap detail at the collar provides both function and historical authenticity. Originally designed to secure the collar and protect the wearer from wind and dust, it remains one of the most recognizable features of vintage workwear from the period.
