Based on one of BIG YANK's iconic work shirts from the 1940s, the 1942 SHIRT CHAMOIS is crafted from the brand's original chamois cloth while preserving the authentic functional details that defined the original garment.
The signature Mountain Pocket on the left chest was originally designed to protect cigarettes from moisture and perspiration, combining practical functionality with distinctive styling. A gusseted Convenience Pocket on the right chest completes BIG YANK's iconic asymmetrical pocket layout.
Storm Cuffs help reduce snagging during movement, while the patented Strain-Proof Yoke enhances mobility across the shoulders and back. Together, these heritage details reflect the practical innovation that made BIG YANK workwear unique.
Crafted from BIG YANK's original chamois cloth, the fabric offers a soft brushed texture, comfortable warmth, and excellent durability. Its versatile weight makes it ideal as both a shirt and a lightweight outer layer throughout the cooler seasons.
