BIG YANK | 1942 SHIRT CHAMOIS

The 1942 SHIRT CHAMOIS by BIG YANK is a modern reinterpretation of one of the brand’s most iconic work shirts from the 1940s, now crafted in luxurious chamois cloth. It features the hallmark five-sided "mountain pocket" on the left chest, blending distinctive design with historical functionality.

Originally created to protect unwrapped paper cigarettes from sweat and moisture, the mountain pocket offers both visual impact and practical use. A metal button at the tip adds durability and a vintage accent.

On the right chest is a gusseted convenient pocket, forming the asymmetric “gacha-poke” layout that reflects BIG YANK's utilitarian design ethos. Additional features include storm cuffs to prevent snagging and a strain-proof yoke at the back to reduce stress during forward-leaning motion. Every detail is rooted in real workwear innovation.

This season’s version uses chamois cloth with a brushed, velvety texture and just the right weight. It offers exceptional comfort and warmth, making it perfect not only as a shirt but also as a lightweight outer layer for cooler weather.
