Based on a vintage BIG YANK work shirt from the 1920s, the Y1929 Chambray Shirt faithfully reproduces the distinctive details of the original. It retains the functional beauty and practicality of traditional workwear while fitting naturally into a modern wardrobe.
The shirt is made from 100% cotton selvedge chambray. The fabric recreates the natural irregularities and rich texture characteristic of vintage chambray while providing the durability required for everyday wear. With repeated wear and washing, it gradually softens and conforms to the body, developing a beautiful fade and unique character over time.
Authentic 1920s workwear details include a chin strap, square chest pocket, two-piece sleeves, sleeve plackets, and a distinctive cuff construction. Lightweight and durable aluminum unbreakable buttons are used throughout, capturing the character of the original down to the smallest detail.
