Based on a vintage BIG YANK work shirt from the 1930s, the Y1936 H-Zip Flannel Check Shirt faithfully recreates the distinctive details that defined the brand’s golden era. It retains the practical design philosophy of the original while offering a timeless piece for modern wear.
The shirt is made from 100% cotton sulfur-dyed check flannel. Top-dyed yarn is used in the gray sections to create the richly layered block check characteristic of vintage fabrics. The entire fabric is sulfur-dyed, allowing it to develop natural fading and an increasingly distinctive texture with repeated wear and washing.
The front features an original half-zip fastener engraved with the BIG YANK logo. Signature patented details from the 1930s—including the Convenient Pocket, Storm Cuffs, Elbow Action Sleeves, and Strain-Proof Yoke—have also been faithfully reproduced. This historically significant piece embodies the craftsmanship and heritage of BIG YANK.
