Inspired by the M-51 Arctic Trousers adopted by the U.S. Army in 1951, this popular YANKSHIRE model reinterprets a classic military design for modern everyday wear. Retaining the rugged functionality and distinctive character of the original, it offers a versatile balance between utility and contemporary style.
The trousers are crafted from YANKSHIRE’s original cotton-nylon oxford fabric, blending the natural texture of cotton with the durability and lightweight performance of nylon. The fabric maintains a structured silhouette while remaining comfortable to wear, and it develops additional character with continued use.
Following the original M-51 design, the trousers feature a relaxed wide-leg silhouette with generous volume throughout. Adjustable drawcords at the waist and hem allow for versatile styling, whether worn with a tapered shape by cinching the hems or left loose for a classic straight-leg look.
Large flap pockets at the front and back provide excellent functionality while preserving the authentic military-inspired detailing. The result is a practical and timeless pair of trousers that transitions effortlessly from outdoor environments to urban settings.
