1942 POCKET TEE
The 1942 POCKET TEE from BIG YANK features the brand’s iconic five-sided chest pocket, known as the “mountain pocket,” originally seen on U.S. Navy work shirts in the early 1940s. More than just a design feature, this pocket reflects the functional beauty of authentic American workwear.
The body is knitted and sewn in Japan, using 18-single yarn inspired by original American fabrics from 1942. It is constructed with a tubular knit (no side seams) and finished with a vintage-style ribbed binder neck for added durability. The sleeve and hem edges use blind stitching, staying true to the classic American T-shirt construction of the era.
Though minimal in appearance, every element of this T-shirt is built on purpose and history. It is a piece that brings BIG YANK’s heritage into everyday life, offering timeless authenticity with every wear.
